We are currently looking for a number of HGV Technicians to join our well-established client in Reading, Berkshire. This is a permanent role working in a new state of the art workshop that maintains the company's fleet. Responsibilities: Perform minor and major repairs on lorries and trailers Conduct regular maintenance on service lorries, including inspection, tyre rotation and oil changes Maintaining parts inventory Keeping workshop clean and tidy Working with the repairs team to diagnose issues with vehicles and plan repairs Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks Maintain accurate records of each repair performed Requirements: Class 1 and/or 2 HGV Licence (preferred) Certifications and/or qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy goods vehicles (engines, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical components) Previous experience working as a mechanic, preferably specialising in HGVs, with a strong understanding of the engines and hydraulic systems Adhere to company health and safety regulations minimising risks and providing a safe working environment Benefits: Company car Company pension Free parking on-site Salary and working hours: £22 - £26 per hour (depending on experience) 7am - 5pm / Monday - Friday (Saturday work also available)
