Location: North Yorkshire (Site based)
Construction Planner
Our client, an international Mining company is looking for a Construction Planner to join a major UK mining project. This will be a long-term contract working on site in Yorkshire, UK.
Key Responsibilities
1. Build and maintain Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) project schedules (level 1-4) using WBS coding and logic in Primavera P6
2. Build and maintain project schedules (level 5) using Microsoft Project
3. Integrate schedules from contractors when required
4. Establish and agree the baseline resourced schedule to establish site staffing profiles, including multiple shift patterns.
5. Work with construction teams and contractors to provide construction sequencing to reduce any constraints
6. Work with engineering and procurement teams to ensure the construction schedule will not be impacted by design changes, long lead items etc
7. Update schedules with actual progress and review against the baseline to highlight variances to the project team.
8. Timely reporting of critical paths and impact of delays, risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure the project remains on schedule.
9. Collaborate with Project Management, Lead Engineers to discuss schedules and act as an advisor to the team regarding planning.
10. Provide input into the daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and updates to stakeholders, highlighting achievements and addressing potential planning concerns.
Essential Qualifications And Skills
11. Strong user of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and Excel, as well as Schedule Risk Software such as Monte Carlo or Acumen Fuse.
12. 5 - 15 Years relevant experience
13. The ideal candidate will be a team player, strong communicator with a background of working in fast paced evolving projects, and a multi-national workforce.
This is a site-based position – please only apply if you have the relevant experience and can work on site 5 days a week in Yorkshire. You must have full UK working rights.
