Specialist Physiotherapist - Safer Mobility/Falls
Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS FT
We have an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and forward-thinking physiotherapist to become our Safer Mobility Specialist Physiotherapist within our Acute Physiotherapy Team.
You will be highly experienced in assessing patients who have fallen or who are at risk of falls and will help to drive our Trust falls agenda. As part of our fight against deconditioning, you will work with members of the multi-disciplinary team to lead implementation of quality improvement projects to keep our inpatients moving, improve management of falls patients and reduce the number of inpatient falls. You will form a key part of the inpatient therapy team, working side by side with the ward therapists and providing specialist advice and education for staff.
You will also work alongside the Trust Falls Practitioner to jointly review patients and provide support and guidance in the cases of high-risk falls patients. You will attend meetings that are key to promoting safer mobility including Falls Learning Group, Falls Steering Group, and Falls and Bone Health along with networking with the South Yorkshire Falls Group. You will share learning from these with our teams.
Another key element of the role is in education, and you will share knowledge at key learning events such as the Excellence in Patient Care day along with informal teaching in the ward environment.
If you are passionate about improving patient care and safety and about education, we would love to hear from you.
