Special Needs Supply Teacher

Salary Scale: £130.00 – £150.00 per day

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher ready to make a real difference in the lives of young learners? GSL Education is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Special Needs Supply Teacher to join a supportive and inspiring Special Educational Needs School in Lincoln. This is an exciting opportunity to empower students with diverse learning needs and help them achieve their potential.
Your Role as an SEN Teacher:
Teach secondary-aged students with special needs, including Autism and Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties, using tailored and independent learning models.
Create, implement, and regularly review Individual Education Plans (IEPs), setting achievable and meaningful goals in collaboration with parents, students, and other professionals.
Track pupil progress through thoughtful marking and assessment.
Adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs and promote positive outcomes.
Work closely with Teaching Assistants to design engaging activities, with a focus on Life Skills and Functional Skills.
Be aware of students' triggers and warning signs, ensuring their needs are met with care and sensitivity.
Follow Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) to ensure all specified outcomes are achieved.
What We’re Looking For:
UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
At least 6 months of experience working in SEN settings or alternative provisions.
Confidence working with secondary-age students in either SEN or mainstream settings.
A team player who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment and is committed to the success of every student.
A strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and a dedication to promoting the welfare of children.
Experience with Educational Psychology services, CAMHS, or therapists is beneficial but not required.
Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
