Job Details: Sessional Recovery Co-ordinator
Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.
We have almost 200 services around England – and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.
Sessional Recovery Co-ordinator
Please note that this is a sessional/casual role therefore 37 hours per week is not guaranteed.
About the role...
You will work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality substance misuse treatment provision by supporting service users from point of entry into the service and throughout their treatment and recovery journey. You will play a crucial role acting as the care coordinator for an assigned group of service users. There will also be a requirement to work one late night a week to work with the South Asian community.
Please note that duties will involve attending Mosques; therefore, speaking Urdu would be beneficial for this post.
Other duties will include:
* Manage an adult caseload of a variety of substance use issues, opiate/non-opiate, and alcohol.
* Devising, implementing, and reviewing ongoing recovery and treatment plans.
* Facilitate and promote individuals’ progression from initial engagement, through structured treatment, to self-sustained recovery.
* Reduce substance-related harm to individuals and the wider community.
* Working collaboratively with key partners and colleagues to achieve the best health and well-being outcomes for individuals.
* Scripting.
* Support the evening clinics.
