Major Recruitment are looking to appoint a Manufacturing Engineer for a client in Leeming Bar area. Our client is a well-established manufacturing business with an impeccable reputation for quality of products and services.
Due to substantial growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

Duties:
* Mechanical fault finding/repairs to PLC controlled plant - includes pneumatic and hydraulics
* Thorough understanding of EHS and a safety culture and familiar with safe system of work (Permit to Work systems)
* Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance tasks
* Strong communication and organisational skills - able to provide detailed shift reports
* Experience of working as part of a Maintenance Team on a manufacturing site
* Demonstrate effective systematic problem-solving skills
* Able to work autonomously and react quickly in a high-pressure situation
* Self-motivated and able to work independently
Role Requirements:
* 2 Years+ Electrical / Electronic Practical Production Engineering Experience
* Proven track record in implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
* Proficient in electronic fault finding, soldering, and electrical wiring
* In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control
* Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 8D)
* Competent in electronic fault finding
* Understanding of safe working practices
* Experienced in root cause analysis and problem solving
* PC literate and competent computer skills
* Flexibility
