Location : Brixworth, Northamptonshire Contract : Permanent – flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know What will you be responsible for? As Inspector you'll be working within the SHE team, supporting them in undertaking independent site audits, assessing the quality of completed work in accordance with the design or works instruction, undertaking joint audits with our clients, collaborating, sharing findings and lessons learned. It will involve engaging with the works delivery & design teams with the objective of sharing findings and improving the quality of work. Your day to day will include: Working with the Senior Operations Managers identifying when a job / scheme is due for audit, reporting jobs that haven't be audited and reporting the outcomes of audits, compiling relevant documentation, closing out issues from audits Advising the Delivery Team where works are not achieving the required standards, conducting formal quality audits on schemes including post-completion inspections assessing long term quality and durability, achieving all quality related KPI's and managing the key quality commitments across the contract Communicating with the Delivery Team ensuring a full understanding of quality assurance requirements, supporting and co-ordinating quality including the monitoring of sub-contractors, being the mediator between all parties on any quality related issues, ensuring operations teams are maintaining and retaining records for administration purposes in line with company and contract needs Assisting the operational teams with the resolution of technical problems and carrying work out to the correct specification and QA standards, being pro-active in quality incident prevention, monitoring and recording effective corrective actions and control of non-conformances, analysing trends, reporting accordingly, performing relevant investigation of root cause analysis, defects and other issues related to quality, driving improvements in performance excellence – always working to be better What are we looking for? This role of Inspector is great for you if: You have experience within a quality related role in the highways or construction industry with a track record of success, including a formal qualification in Quality or Construction and performed a similar role with track record of success Can demonstrate knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing across different levels of staff, stakeholders and customers We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome So, even if you don't tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat.
