Description
The role sits in the SHEQ department and oversees and ensures the Quality of the company’s products and services in line with approved regulatory, external, and internal standards, policies, and procedures.
Fire Glass UK Ltd is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers, suppliers, and glaziers of fire and acoustic glass, and is looking to appoint a full-time QC Inspector at their Midlands Branch.
The job will include heavy lifting, manual handling, and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
The successful applicant would also receive training in different aspects of the glass trade with the opportunity to learn a new skill set and progress within the company.
Requirements:
* Reasonable work experience in Quality related roles
* A good understanding of Quality Regulatory Frameworks
* Excellent communication skills (Written and verbal) and strong work ethics.
* Strong organisation skills, multi-tasking, and ability to prioritise departmental tasks
* Excellent decision-making capabilities
Ability to learn and demonstrate efficiency in the use of relevant systems.
Ability to adapt and remain flexible in a dynamic environment.
A qualification in transport management, logistics, or business management is desired but not required.
Ability to work independently and follow directions.
Proficient with all Microsoft Applications required.
Must be goal-oriented and task-driven.

Responsibilities
* Monitoring, documenting and reporting product or service quality levels.
* Developing and implementing standards for inspection in line with approved regulatory authorities.
* Developing a workflow for product inspection
* Mastery of required standards and following-up to ensure all business operations, procedures and processes are in line with the standards.
* Maintain relationships and liaise with Quality Regulatory Authorities as required.
* Identify operational issues and proffer possible solutions, improvements and recommendations.
* Monitor and Evaluate Quality levels and work with all relevant parties to improve and ensure highest standards.
* Provide all necessary feedback to the SHEQ Manager as appropriate, working together to ensure the Product and Service Delivery of the company is of impeccable standard.
* Provide reports where necessary to relevant authorities.
* Support the Quality Team in the providing all required periodic reports.
