Birmingham City Football Club is seeking an experienced and dedicated U15 / U16 Academy Coach to join our Academy Coaching Department. The primary responsibility of this role is to implement the coaching syllabus for the assigned U15/U16 age groups within the Youth Development Phase Programme. You will play an active role in both training and matchday coaching, ensuring the development of young players and maintaining high standards across all sessions. Key Responsibilities: Support and assist in the coaching of players in the U15 and U16 teams. Plan, create, and evaluate coaching sessions as per the weekly plan. Develop players within the Youth Development Phase, focusing on technical and tactical skills. Monitor the wellbeing of Academy players, working closely with the Club Safeguarding Team. Attend all professional development events and engage in a coach development action plan (DAP) and competency framework (CCF). Maintain an active Individual Learning Goal (ILG) for each player. Manage appropriate playing opportunities and oversee the review process of each player every mesocycle. Implement and monitor the Premier League and EFL ‘Elite Player Performance Plan’ (EPPP) rules. Ensure appropriate communication with players, staff, and other departments. Maintain training resources and ensure the highest possible standards of equipment and facilities. Support cross-departmental collaboration, including liaising with multi-disciplinary staff and the goalkeeping department.
