BME Electrical (NI) Ltd is an electrical contractor specializing in High Voltage and Low voltage mains distribution, due to continued growth we are seeking an Electrical Contracts manager to join a company with an established reputation and have an active role in the next stage growth of the company. High Voltage experience would be an advantage but not a necessity. Contracts Manager Job Description Electrical Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of electrical contracting projects, including contract negotiation, project management, financial management, quality control, and ensuring successful project delivery within budget and timelines, while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards related to high voltage electrical work; essentially acting as the primary point of contact for all commercial and contractual elements on electrical projects. Key responsibilities may include: Contract Management: Negotiating contract terms with clients and subcontractors for electrical projects. Managing contract variations and change orders. Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle. Identifying and mitigating potential contractual risks. Project Management: Leading the project team responsible for electrical installations. Developing detailed project plans and schedules. Monitoring project progress against budget and deadlines. Managing project resources, including equipment and subcontractors. Coordinating with other project stakeholders, including engineers, designers, and site personnel. Commercial Management: Preparing project cost estimates and budgets. Tracking project costs and identifying cost variances. Managing project cash flow and invoicing. Identifying opportunities for cost optimisation and value engineering. Technical Expertise: Demonstrated understanding of electrical systems and equipment (HV experience an advantage but not a necessity). Knowledge of relevant electrical safety regulations and compliance standards. Ability to review and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Quality Assurance: Implementing quality control procedures to ensure project quality meets specifications. Overseeing quality inspections and testing of electrical installations. Required skills and qualifications: Strong commercial acumen and contract negotiation skills Proven experience in managing complex electrical projects, particularly in the high voltage domain. Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and risk management. In-depth knowledge of relevant electrical standards and regulations Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
