Our work changes lives across the world from basic science to global health. We are seeking an outstanding candidate to lead our flagship MBChB Medicine & Surgery programme. The postholder will work closely with senior figures in the College’s line management, including the Head of the School of Medical Sciences, College Director of Education and Pro-Vice-Chancellor & Head of College. The successful candidate will deliver major strategic leadership for this important degree programme, including the continued development and implementation of a new contemporary curriculum, enhancing clinical practice. They will bring an excellent national reputation and profile based on an extensive track record, including developing and enhancing teaching and learning, impacting positively on the student experience. They will be confident in managing complex yet positive relationships within the College and University, and externally with NHS partners and stakeholders such as the General Medical Council and the Medical Schools Council. The successful candidate will be an effective, enthusiastic senior leader and role model in citizenship, equality, diversity and inclusion, focussed on driving improvement, for instance in our current 24 th rank in the Complete University Guide 2024 and National Student Survey results.
