Main duties of the job
The successful candidate would be expected to work as part of a multidisciplinary team with in-patients, out-patients, within community settings, specialist clinics, and Wellbeing services.
Complete holistic assessments of patient’s needs to formulate a patient-centred specialised treatment plan including relevant symptom control with a view to improving/maintaining their present level of functional independence and wellbeing.
Build therapeutic relationships with patients, families, and carers to facilitate informed decision-making and be creative in promoting self-management strategies.

Key Responsibilities include:
The successful candidate would be expected to work as part of a multidisciplinary team with in-patients, out-patients, within community settings, specialist clinics, and Wellbeing services.
Complete holistic assessments of patient’s needs to formulate a patient-centred specialised treatment plan including relevant symptom control with a view to improving/maintaining their present level of functional independence and wellbeing.
Build therapeutic relationships with patients, families, and carers to facilitate informed decision-making and be creative in promoting self-management strategies.
Provide necessary equipment and aids and advice on their safe and proper use, as required in the provision of safe and responsive patient care including mobility aids, breathlessness management tools, and other items.
To provide a continuous Physiotherapy service in partnership with the Senior Physiotherapist.
About You
Essential qualifications: Diploma/BSc/MSc Physiotherapy, registration with The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP).
Knowledge and skills: in core physiotherapy areas preferably including some experience in oncology, palliative care, or transferrable skills to these areas.
Attributes: Compassionate, resilient, and adaptable, you’re committed to providing dignified, respectful, and empathetic care. You’re a strong team player with excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to patients and their families.

* Experience with respiratory patients including use of Non-Invasive Ventilation and cough assist machines.
