As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you’ll be recruiting people who connect our communities together - both experienced and Trainee Bus Drivers across the London region. Collaborating closely with the Talent Acquisition Team, HR Hub, Training School, Garage Management, and other key business stakeholders, you’ll drive the recruitment process to ensure a steady flow of high-quality candidates, meeting the evolving needs of the business. Your role will involve: Managing end-to-end recruitment for all operational roles, including high-volume hiring of Bus Drivers, as well as key operational and support positions. Executing targeted recruitment campaigns, working closely with the Operations Management team to reach the most qualified candidates in a competitive market. Utilising online recruitment platforms, including CV databases, job boards, and social media, to attract and engage top talent, while regularly analysing and optimising the effectiveness of these tools. Ensuring timely and efficient recruitment campaigns, aligning with workforce plans and operational demands to meet hiring needs across various locations. Reviewing applications and conducting thorough initial screenings, assessing candidates’ suitability for roles, and shortlisting the best fits for interviews and assessment days. Coordinating and facilitating recruitment assessments, collaborating with hiring managers to provide valuable insights that inform their decision-making and ensure the best candidate selections. Partnering with Training Schools to schedule and align induction dates with workforce planning, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition from offer to first day of work. Proactively managing the candidate pipeline, tracking daily progress, identifying trends in candidate flow, and taking immediate action to address any fluctuations or challenges. Building strong, consultative relationships with hiring managers and HR teams, offering expert recruitment advice and ensuring a seamless, positive experience for all stakeholders. Meeting recruitment KPIs and service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring high-quality hires while maintaining a professional, transparent process for candidates and the business alike. About you A proven track record in managing the full recruitment cycle, in a high-volume, frontline hiring environment - ideally in-house. Experience within a similar frontline industry is essential. Confidence in using online and offline sourcing methods, including CV databases, job boards, and social media, to attract top talent. A data-driven approach, with the ability to track pipeline performance, analyse recruitment trends, and forecast hiring volumes. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence hiring decisions. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. An understanding of employment legislation relating to recruitment. Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems and standard software packages to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
