Are you an experienced UX Designer looking for your next challenge?
We are seeking a UX Designer to join the team at one of our esteemed clients within the Defence sector. They provide innovative software solutions in a consultative environment and are gearing up for exciting new projects.
As a leading provider of software solutions, the team works closely with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and other related organisations to deliver exceptional user experiences. As a UX Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping their software development projects.
This will be a hybrid role but due to the nature of the projects, there will be some periods where you are required on-site 5 days a week.
What you'll do:
Lead the planning of all UX-related activities, from initial discovery through to research, analysis, and user testing.
Work as part of multidisciplinary teams, including Business Analysts, Developers, and Delivery Managers, to capture insights and perspectives for effective design responses.
Partner with product managers, engineers, and marketing teams to align designs with user needs and business goals.
Develop and maintain a scalable design system to ensure consistency across digital products.
Lead and conduct user research studies, including user interviews, stakeholder workshops, focus groups, and user testing.
Run effective workshops from initial planning and design through to client engagement, facilitation, and translating outputs into deliverables that enhance the UX of a project.What you'll need:
Comprehensive understanding of the full UX lifecycle, including methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Proficiency in a wide range of user research techniques and analysis, such as Contextual Inquiry, Ethnographic Research, Workshops, User Interviews, Empathy Maps, and validated learning.
Experience working in agile environments using methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
High proficiency with design tools, including Figma.
Experience working with customers and users to gather requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
Appreciation for accessibility and awareness of WCAG standards.
Ability to prototype at different fidelities and visualise ideas effectively.What you'll get:
£65-70k salary depending on experience.
