As one of our Installation Specialists based in one of our Customer Delivery Hubs, you'll have the opportunity to bring our John Lewis service directly to customers' homes, installing products such as furniture, kitchen appliances, sound systems, and TVs as part of a two-person delivery team. Roles Available: Customer Delivery Hub Driver - Driver Trainee, Installer Trainee & Technician
Position: Permanent
Location: Stanley Green CDH (Cheshire)
Salary: Starting from 01/04/25, Driver Trainee £26,700, Installer Trainee £29,000, Technician £32,000 (Annual)

Driver Trainee Responsibilities
* Complete a 12-month trainee programme to qualify as a John Lewis Customer Delivery Installer.
* Provide excellent customer service and represent the John Lewis brand.
* Assist in loading deliveries and collaborate with the warehouse team.
* Respect customer homes and handle unexpected situations effectively.
* Install products efficiently and demonstrate their operation.
* Stay updated on new products and technologies.
* Maintain a safe working environment.
This role involves heavy lifting of large items.
Skills and Experience for Driver Trainee
* UK B-Category manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
* Excellent verbal communication skills.
* Interest in technology and installation.
Desirable Skills
* Previous installation and delivery experience.
Installer Trainee Responsibilities
Complete a 3-month trainee programme to become a qualified installer, with responsibilities similar to the Driver Trainee, plus specific installation tasks like wall-mounting TVs and electrical installations.
Skills and Experience for Installer Trainee
* Manual C1 UK driving licence (max 6 points).
* DCPC and Tachograph Card.
* Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
* Customer-facing experience.
* Good communication skills and understanding of technology.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with electrical and furniture product installation.
Technician Responsibilities
Begin at the hub, then on route, responsibilities include:
* Customer service excellence.
* Mentoring colleagues.
* Loading deliveries.
* Respecting customer homes and handling issues.
* Installing diverse products, including wall-mount TVs and appliances.
* Staying current with new products and technologies.
* Ensuring safety.
Heavy lifting involved.
Skills and Experience for Technician
* Manual C1 UK driving licence (max 6 points).
* DCPC and Tachograph Card.
* Experience with 7.5-tonne vehicles.
* Customer service experience.
* Good communication and tech understanding.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with electrical and furniture installation, including wall-mount TVs and appliance disconnection.
