Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Goodwood – Assembly Quality Management - 13 Month Placement (July 2025)
We are seeking a forward-thinking student that has a passion for problem solving, and technological innovation to join our Assembly Quality Management department. You will play a fundamental part in supporting the development and improvement of key business and quality processes.
As an intern you will quickly learn the complexities of our production line and will play a pivotal role in developing robust quality improvements that help us on our mission to ‘take the best that exists and make it better’. What awaits you?
1. Actively solving complex issues related to our production systems.
2. Support, coordination and management of specific daily tasks and longer-term projects.
3. Co-ordination and steering of key performance indicators (KPI’s).
4. Support and implementation of quality improvements through complex problem solving.
5. Analysis of data sets to give transparency to the existing target environment with a view to offering improvement opportunities.
6. Steering and implementation of planning activities to support volume flexibility and new product introduction.
7. Supporting the implementation of the Value Production System and Work Organisation throughout the Assembly process.
8. Developing into an all rounded professional ready to take on any challenge they are faced with.
Qualifications and Experience
9. Studying a Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s degree and on track to achieve a 2:1 or above in an Engineering, IT or relevant course.
10. Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing, Manufacturing Systems and or Quality Systems.
11. Ideally you will have a good knowledge of manufacturing techniques.
12. Able to communicate in the English language; German would be beneficial.
13. You need to be able to work independently within the management team, have the ability to organise yourself and work in a team environment.
14. You will be required to work from your own initiative taking projects and tasks from concept through to a complete and implemented solution.
15. Strong PC skills and a good working knowledge of MS Office.
16. Knowledge of Manufacturing Systems is desirable.
