This exciting opportunity has arisen for a vacancy within the Property Services Directorate. You will be responsible for providing a high-quality specialist service focusing on sustainability and reducing the carbon footprint of the Council’s social housing stock and commercial portfolio.
You will be required to ensure the housing stock and commercial assets are maintained and assessed in line with climate change targets and sustainability objectives. A key function of this role is developing project plans and programmes to ensure the delivery of projects are within the agreed timeframes required by the Council. You will need to work with contractors to ensure work is being completed to a satisfactory standard and that people living in, working in or visiting our properties are safe.
The ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with colleagues and various contractors is required as well as tact, diplomacy and analytical skills. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to achieve defined performance targets and harness external funding.
You should be confident and committed to delivering excellent customer service. This role will suit an adaptable, flexible individual who is committed to ensuring a high-quality standard of work and continually seeks to improve performance.
