Senior Specifications Technologist – Cheshire Salary: up to £40k pension & healthcare Hybrid Working Options Available We’re partnering with a leading food manufacturer in Cheshire that is looking for an experienced Specifications Technologist to join their team. This is a new role within the business due to ongoing growth, and you’ll be joining an established, people-focused organisation that offers opportunities for further development and progression. About the Role: Reporting to the Specifications Manager, you’ll be part of a busy, supportive team. Your key responsibilities will include: Creating and managing customer specifications, ensuring they are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time. Working closely with major UK retailers—experience with M&S or Aldi would be a huge advantage. Collaborating with internal teams to ensure all technical information aligns with customer requirements. Staying up to date with retailer standards and food legislation to guarantee compliance. Supporting technical and NPD teams with key projects. Mentoring and supporting other team members to ensure high standards across the department. What Are We Looking For? Previous experience as a Specifications Technologist in food manufacturing, ideally working with complex or multi-component products. Proven track record of working with UK retailers and a strong understanding of retailer specification systems (experience with M&S or Aldi is highly desirable). Excellent communication skills and a knack for building relationships. A proactive approach and highly organised, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload to meet tight deadlines. A collaborative mindset, with the ability to guide and support others. Ideally educated to degree level in a food-related subject. Why Join This Business?
