Business Development Consultant - Engineering and Automotive Permanent - Full Time Location: Coventry The objective of the Business Development Consultant role is to maintain and grow relationships with existing customers, build up new customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and prepare proposals for potential customer projects. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain and develop relationships within existing customer base as well as establishing relationships with new customers above and beyond current base Identify new business opportunities for the Client, including new industries Quotation development Key Account Management – responsible for developing extended relationships within key accounts and monitoring delivery of projects YOUR PROFILE: Essential: Degree-level technical education Previous experience of engineering projects in the automotive industry and in electrification topics or related areas. Ability to prepare project proposals, present to customer and conduct follow-up negotiations Appreciation of future challenges faced by customers and ability to identify how the Client can support customers to solve such challenges Planning, prioritising and co-ordinating workload with minimal guidance Willingness to travel and a flexible and adaptable nature Excellent communication skills with customers and colleagues. Preferable: Previous experience of engineering projects outside of the automotive industry Previous experience of working in a consultancy environment with multiple customers An understanding of the Clients’ existing market presence and market presence both locally and globally Experience with sales tools and software, for example Salesforce Excellent Opportunity with immediate starts available
