Being there for others and providing emotional reassurance overnight is can be very rewarding We are looking for two part-time positions one working two nights and the other three. Shifts are 21:50 - 07:20 You will join a rolling rota with with 6 weeks notice of the shifts you are working. Weekends are shared so you will not be expected to work every weekend. You'll join our friendly team of 17 Support Workers working in a beautiful three-story house with its own lovely garden. We support four men and one lady aged between 31 - 68 all of whom have learning disabilities and some also have physical disabilities. They enjoy sharing their home with a range of pets including a cat, a canary, fish and five chickens in the garden. The home has a lovely family atmosphere with some of the team having worked here for over twenty years. New team members are always made to feel very welcome and benefit from working alongside experienced colleagues who are quick to help with training and advice. About the role The people we support are very active during the day and may want to chat about their activities and what they've been up to before they go to bed. What they really need, is someone who is available when they are wakeful at night and to check at regular intervals to ensure they are comfortable and getting a good night's sleep ready for the next day. You will need to provide support with personal care or medication. Your role will also include light cleaning duties to ensure the home is tidy for the morning.
