Job Title: Automation Engineer
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Automation Engineer, supporting automated liquid handling and bench-top automation platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing & optimising scientific protocols on these platforms, ensuring optimal efficiency & performance.
Your Responsibilities:
* Work closely with equipment users to develop & optimise scientific protocols on their automation platforms.
* Develop, optimise, validate, and troubleshoot high throughput automated workflows.
* Lead Equipment Breakdown Deep-Dive activities to identify the underlying cause.
* Train equipment users on key concepts associated with the platforms to support best-practice and mitigate avoidable run failures.
* Maintain awareness of new developments in the field of Laboratory Automation.
About You:
To be considered for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Technical, or Sciences, with 3+ year(s) of experience servicing laboratory equipment. Strong communication skills are essential for this position, as well as experience working in a Pharmaceutical or regulated environment.
Working Environment:
The ideal candidate must be able to work in a laboratory, controlled environments requiring personal protective equipment (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses, etc.). A fast-paced job with high demands may require long hours of sitting and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
