We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Duties
* Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
* Monitor and record patients' health status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on patient progress.
* Drive patients to appointments or social activities as required.
* Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong IT skills for maintaining patient records and documentation.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to work independently.
* A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others.
* Valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting patients.
