About This Role

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated HR Officer to support the operation of HR services across Ormiston Queensmill Academy and Ormiston Kensington Queensmill Academy. As HR Officer, you will be a key member of the People and Culture team, responsible for delivering a comprehensive HR service. Your role will be critical in supporting employee relations, HR processes, and the successful implementation of our People Strategy. You’ll contribute to our positive culture, ensuring the Academy is a great place to work, grow, and develop.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide day-to-day HR support across both academies, ensuring smooth operation of HR processes.
2. Support line managers with probation reviews, absence management, and HR processes to drive effectiveness.
3. Manage pre-employment checks, onboarding, and induction for new starters to ensure they integrate seamlessly into the team.
4. Support employee relations matters, providing advice and guidance to staff and leadership teams.
5. Administer payroll, update contracts and documentation, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
6. Maintain the Academy’s single central record (SCR), ensuring compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) regulations.
7. Work with the senior leadership teams to address attendance issues and promote staff wellbeing.
Your Skills And Experience
1. CIPD qualified or equivalent HR experience.
2. Experience in HR support, employee relations, and HR data analysis.
3. Strong organisational and communication skills with attention to detail.
4. Understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education and safeguarding practices.
5. Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across teams.
