We are seeking adaptable and creative individual to join our high achieving team and contribute to curriculum initiatives. At Cirencester College, you would have the opportunity of teaching enthusiastic learners about sport, exercise, and coaching, enhancing their knowledge on disciplines such as sport science, outdoor adventure, health and wellbeing, and physical activity. These courses dive deep into the world of physical activity, from participation to elite performance, and from a performance perspective to a health one.
The department itself is a vibrant, supportive, and forward-thinking team; the teaching staff work together closely and have a genuine passion for the subject. Candidates should also expect to act as a personal tutor.
You would teach surrounded by a committed and supportive team who will readily share resources and best practices, and offer support whenever required. Within this environment we would help you further develop as a practitioner, as you in turn develop your students.
This is a great opportunity whether you are experienced, new to the profession or want to make the switch from an 11-16 school.
Candidates should have a commitment to further education and be motivated to achieve high standards in teaching and learning. The ability to work well within teams and to adapt to curriculum demands is essential. Ideally candidates should possess a good honours degree and a teaching qualification. The College is very supportive of new entrants into the teaching profession, and we are therefore willing to consider applications from graduates who are willing to undertake a supported PGDE as part of their professional development.
