About Moulton College
With nearly 100 years of heritage behind it, Moulton College has grown from its beginnings as an agricultural college to a provider of further education and university-level courses to thousands of students across a wide range of vocational courses every year.
Set in the picturesque Northamptonshire countryside less than six miles from Northampton town centre, the college estate of nearly 500 hectares is farmed with particular emphasis placed upon sound environmental principles, good agricultural practice and animal welfare.
We have approximately 2,500 full-time, 1,000 part-time students and a small but growing cohort of apprentices. The college employs approximately 375 staff and has a turnover of £23 million, making it one of the largest employers in the Daventry district.
The campus has extensive, high-quality, industry-standard resources developed in line with a campus development plan over a number of years. September 2018 saw the launch of a new range of food and drink courses in the state-of-the-art Food and Drink Innovation Centre, which includes a bakery, sensory room, and micro-brewery. Local authority investment in the development of a £1.7m athletics track and associated facilities further enhances the specialist sports facilities for students at the College and has attracted elite sports activity to the area.
The College also hosts a variety of on-site commercial enterprises, including the Animal Therapy Centre and Equestrian Centre. Many Moulton students undertake work placements at these businesses as part of their courses to give them appropriate and relevant experience in the working world and boost their employability.
The unique offer that Moulton College provides means that students travel from all over Northamptonshire and beyond to live and study at Moulton. As well as the main site at Moulton, the College also offers courses in Higham Ferrers in east Northamptonshire.
Moulton College continues to innovate, develop and react to the growing needs and changing requirements of students, staff and businesses in the 21st century.
