Mace is seeking to appoint an experienced mechanical and electrical project manager to join this rapidly growing and successful part of the business. The key roles will be to plan, direct, manage and oversee implementation of all M&E works to ensure the clients goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed schedule, budget and defined health, safety and quality parameters. Effective communication with client, contractor and sub-contractors, consultants, management of client and project stake holders is required. Reviewing of design and engagement through the design process. Scoping work packages for design drawings in line with the other package managers. Overseeing procurement of packages, reviewing and appointing subcontractors alongside the commercial team. Providing support to construction managers to ensure trade work packages are attaining the agreed delivery programme. Liaising with building PM's/CM's as to their requirements to attain delivery programme. Managing and reviewing the contractor reporting (dashboard). Chairing regular progress meetings. Monitoring the contractor design, programme and deliverables. Reviewing and monitoring key quality sign offs. Reviewing and monitoring incoming changes and advise on scope change and programme. Reviewing and authorising document submittals. Reviewing and authorising request for information (RFIs). Reviewing monthly contractor performance and liaise with package managers. Reviewing and liaising with temporary works co-ordinator. Upon completion of package works, ensure the relevant close out forms are completed. You’ll need to have: Experienced in the delivery of complex mechanical and electrical systems, including temp and perm service diversions. Time management and organisational skills. Strong influencing and people management skills. Good communication skills. Track record in working in a regulated industry – rail/aviation/nuclear etc. You’ll also have: Relevant degree qualifications or BTEC/HNC. CSCS. Nuclear and defence experience.
