About the Role at wagamama, we’re an eating house for the soul. with over 160 uk restaurants and growing, our purpose is to nourish the world from bowl to soul. inspired by fast-paced, japanese ramen bars since 1992. a celebration of asian food brought wagamama to life we’re looking for a quality manager to join us on our continuous journey of true nourishment purpose to recommend, establish, monitor and manage improvements to systems that will ensure product and process quality standards meet wagamama expectations, legal requirements and established industry standards for the wagamama central production unit responsibilities • to control and implement the quality management system and ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and wagamama requirements • to define and maintain product and process specifications and to challenge factory processes • to contribute to NPD process, develop and launch products that meets wagamama expectations • to deliver and maintain any third party accreditation standards • to ensure that any non-conformance management process is robust to deliver the improvement required and identify root cause of problem • to monitor customer feedback and complaints and ensure that customers’ expectations are met. • to provide knowledge on matters of food quality, safety, science/technology & due diligence • to regularly monitor and audit all aspects of the quality management system • to ensure all suppliers meet approval requirements and be responsible for maintaining records to prove BRC certification for all suppliers • to use supplier and raw material knowledge to identify potential/emerging integrity risks throughout the supply chain •to proactively drive ways of working and results fo robust governance Role deliverables • to achieve and maintain BRC – grade A status • to ensure H&S and hygiene standards are maintained and improved • to deliver quality standards • to manage site suppliers and supply base • to develop team members Key skills and personal attributes • food related degree or equivalent experience • internal auditor qualified • haccp qualification • regulatory knowledge and awareness of food legislation • motivated and team player • strong written and verbal communication skills • people management skills • full driving licence and flexibility needed wok's in it for you | 42-45000 annual salary discretionary 10% bonus opportunity per year £200 wagamama food allowance private healthcare pension contribution various discount across retail, hospitality + leisure internal progression opportunities | fully funded apprenticeship programmes to support your growth kintsugi wellness | access to councillors, cycle to work scheme, discounted gym + leisure family friendly policy | any expectant person or anyone adopting a child will receive 26 weeks full pay + 13 weeks half pay financial wellbeing support | access to loans repaid through your salary for those ‘strapped for cash’ moments in life
