Description
We are looking for a hands-on Lab Technician to join a leading automotive glass manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in testing and manufacturing high-performance automotive glass components. As a Lab Technician, you will be involved in a variety of tasks, including:
1. Sample measuring and preparation for testing
2. Conducting environmental tests and using QUV's QSUNS and pellet impact tests
3. Operating clean room equipment for manufacturing and testing parts
4. Writing detailed reports on test findings and analysis
5. Maintaining and ensuring proper functioning of lab equipment
6. Coordinating with service engineers for equipment servicing and troubleshooting
7. Assisting project managers and providing support across testing and manufacturing tasks
Profile
1. Background in materials, chemistry, or physics (biology/pharmaceutical experience not applicable)
2. Experience in quality control and testing
3. Practical, hands-on approach to testing and manufacturing
4. Strong communication skills for reporting and assisting project managers
5. No degree required, but NVQ, HND, or work-based qualifications are preferred
6. Mid-career professionals or Open University graduates are welcome, but recent graduates may also be considered
