CCC is collaborating with Cheshire & Mersey Acute and Specialist Trusts in 2025 to recruit our junior pharmacists in this intake. This joint recruitment process has been agreed in an attempt to streamline the process for candidates wishing to come and learn in our ICS and avoid the need for candidates to accept and later decline posts which leaves vacancies which are subsequently more difficult to recruit to.
Interviews will take place between 10th -14th February 2025.
Due to the relaunch of the clinical rotation for our rotational pharmacists, we have reviewed our service to ensure that you would be taking part in patient-facing ward roles, getting involved in checking processes of aseptic manufacture of systemic anticancer therapy, and systemic anticancer oral verification.
All these skills will be developed as well as taking steps upon your leadership journey preparing you to be a leader of tomorrow; this will enable you to clinically supervise and teach within the department.
We can fund you to undertake the Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy at Liverpool John Moore's University, or other qualifications can be sourced if you wish to take a technical path in your career.
If you want to utilize your clinical skills on a daily basis and work in a forward-thinking department, then this is the job for you.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated pharmacist who wishes to help us provide excellent cancer care to the patients of Cheshire and Merseyside.
The post holder will have the opportunity to spend time providing a ward-based pharmacy service to both oncology and haemato-oncology wards, as well as gaining experience within aseptic services, clinical trials, and inpatient and outpatient dispensaries.
We welcome applications from trainee pharmacists due to qualify in the coming months, as well as qualified community pharmacists, and we will help you gain a post-graduate clinical qualification or equivalent. Most important of all, you will bring enthusiasm and commitment to patient care, and we will support you in the development of your career.
