Electrical Maintenance Engineer - YEOVIL
70% electrical, 30% mechanical
Knowledge of Process controls (Siemens or Allen Bradley), PLCs, 18th edition all desirable
Do you have a background in Food or Agriculture Engineering or Maintenance?
Hours: Mon-Fri - 7.00-16.00
Salary: £40k-£45k
On Call: Every other week/3 weeks; when on call, get paid a minimum of 3 hours, even if on site for 30 mins, plus in later next day if called out.
DUTIES of Electrical Maintenance Engineer:
1. Health & Safety Compliance: Operate within Health & Safety requirements and all relevant company procedures.
2. Daily Maintenance Tasks: Carry out daily maintenance tasks as set out by the Maintenance Manager, including regular greasing, inspection, and repair of all processing equipment.
3. Record Keeping: Update maintenance records.
4. Breakdown Assistance: Assist with breakdowns, repairs, or general projects as required by the Maintenance Manager.
5. Training Needs Identification: Identify your own maintenance training needs through observation and discussion, and inform the Mill Manager accordingly.
6. Task Delegation: Perform any other tasks as may be delegated from time to time by the Maintenance Manager or Mill Manager.
7. Tool Maintenance: Maintain all company tools and maintenance equipment in clean working order and ensure they are returned and secured in the appropriate store after use.
8. Inventory Management: Create an effective inventory system to ensure adequate 'spares' cover on essential equipment.
9. Tool & Equipment Requests: Notify the Maintenance Manager where new tools or maintenance equipment are required to carry out the job in hand.
10. Scope of Authority: Sign on behalf of the company for supplier deliveries.
Performance Criteria of Electrical Maintenance Engineer:
1. Maintenance of protective clothing and general appearance.
2. Maintain work office, tool/spare parts store, work benches, and all records in a tidy, orderly fashion at all times.
3. Accurate, immediate, and legible completion of all documentation.
4. Minimise machinery/equipment failure through neglect.
5. Conformance to company procedures.
6. Maintain a positive attitude and relationship with customers and colleagues.
7. Punctuality and effective use of company time.
8. Maintain an excellent attendance record.
Physical Requirements:
1. Basic computer literacy.
2. Basic clerical and administrative skills.
3. Experience in electrical and/or mechanical, electrical predominantly.
4. Fitness to carry out the job (Health Record).
5. Driving license.
