Consultant or Senior Consultant - Rail Advisory

You will be joining a highly motivated team at the forefront of the rail industry. We provide industry-leading advice to national and local government, private rail companies, investors and industry bodies on an extremely wide variety of influential projects from inception to delivery. This includes working closely with the government to reform the rail industry, ensuring that future industry better supports passengers, taxpayers and transport companies.
Our advice spans across long term strategy, considering the role of rail for future generations, to shorter term assurance, across a wide range of technical disciplines. What we'd like from you:
* Working in teams, supporting the provision of rail technical, analytical, strategic and policy advice to clients
* Appreciation of the GB Rail industry
* Proven analytical experience in a rail discipline such as demand and revenue forecasting, performance modelling or operational planning and experience with associated tools (e.g. MOIRA)
* Undertaking technical analysis, report writing and deliver presentations
* Managing small to medium size projects or major workstreams
* Supporting business development in the UK and overseas
* Coaching and developing junior members of the team
* Contributing to technical discipline development activities
Requirements
What you'll be great at:
* Strong analytical skills, including the use of spreadsheet modelling and other tools to analyse and solve problems, proven in a consultancy or client environment
* Ability and enthusiasm to work across different projects and clients
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the confidence to explain technical details clearly to non-technical audiences
* Good team player, able to work collaboratively with colleagues in other disciplines to provide the best solution for the client
What you may also have to offer:
