Willowbrook Medical Practice have an exciting opportunity for a GP to join our highly motivated General Practice team. We are flexible with regards to the number of sessions from four up to eight. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated GP able to join us to provide an excellent healthcare experience for all our patients.

We are situated in North Nottinghamshire and are also close to the border with Derbyshire. We have fabulous transport links, being close to both the M1 and the A38. Nottingham, Derby, Chesterfield and even Sheffield are easily accessible.
Main duties of the job
* Undertaking a variety of duties including face to face consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, reports and correspondence in a timely fashion.
* Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation.
* Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
* Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
* Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols.
* Providing health education.
* Recording clear consultation notes to agreed standards.
* Collecting data for audit purposes and complying with QOF requirements.
* Delivering enhanced services.
* Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions.
* All general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

We are a GMS practice, who provide services including, minor ops, contraception and extended hours. We deliver some early and late sessions as part of our contract, and we strive to ensure all colleagues achieve a good work life balance.
We are a forward-thinking training practice with over 12000 patients. Our clinical team consists of 5 GP partners, 4 registrars, 2 ANPs, pharmacists, physiotherapists and a full complement of nursing and administration staff to support you in your role.
We work collaboratively with local practices as a member of Ashfield North PCN.
We have a new Practice Manager who is currently focused on team development and wellbeing and of course aiming to provide the best possible quality of care to our patients.
We have been rated Good by the CQC in October 2023 and we are a high QOF achieving Practice. In addition, we are involved in clinical research.

Person Specification
Experience
* Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management, and primary prevention and screening services
* Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date
* Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety
* Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Team player with a positive outlook
* GP trainer would be an advantage
* Possible interest in women's health, contraception and family planning
* Full driving licence
* Ideally located in a reasonable travel distance to the Practice with a full driving licence
Qualifications
* Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
* Annual appraisal and revalidation, when appropriate
* Be on the NHSE medical performers list
