Grove Primary is a diverse and vibrant school, with wonderful children and excellent behaviour. We are seeking an Assistant Headteacher to help drive improvements in teaching and learning across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team focused on ensuring every child achieves their full potential in a supportive and engaging environment.
As part of this role, you will work alongside staff in classrooms, modelling outstanding teaching and learning, and supporting colleagues in developing their practice. You will play a key role in shaping the quality of education across the school, ensuring high expectations and impactful teaching strategies.
We are looking for someone who:
1. Has significant experience and a proven track record of raising standards across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
2. Is an inspirational teacher, able to motivate and develop others to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
3. Can demonstrate a deep understanding of current educational initiatives and curriculum requirements across primary phases.
4. Has experience in coaching and mentoring staff, using evidence-based approaches to improve teaching practice.
5. Uses data effectively to monitor progress and identify groups of children requiring further support.
6. Is passionate about creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment, where all children feel safe, valued, and inspired.
7. Supports the Headteacher in implementing school development plans and monitoring teaching quality.
8. Acts as a role model for outstanding classroom practice, setting high standards in teaching, learning, and behaviour management.
