Amazon is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and highly-organized communications professional to join the International Stores Comms team (supporting across the EMEA, APAC and LATAM regions). This is a new role that sits within the Central Stores Programs Comms team, as part of Amazon’s Global Stores Comms organization, and will report into the Shopping Events, Planning and Insights comms lead. This is a new role and the individual will support the International Stores Comms team by building, evolving, and managing all central administration processes and mechanisms to help the international team scale their work and drive greater impact with more efficiency. The role will be focused on raising the standards of some of our most important central work, driving annual processes including off-site events, planning, budgeting, and goal-setting as well as reviewing and improving year-round activity such as campaign analysis and reporting. The individual will represent the International Stores comms team in global working groups and will play a significant role in ensuring processes are adapted, scaled and implemented effectively across the countries we support. During our biggest shopping events, this individual will also be responsible for working closely with centralized partner and business teams to streamline processes and implement changes that improves output for comms teams. The candidate will have a strong background in communications and ideally have experience of working on an international team, or across multiple countries with varied stakeholders: they will be able to offer strategic counsel and recommendations on the best way to manage and coordinate processes across a vast and varied international team. This individual will have experience of project management, managing senior stakeholders, and delivering best-in-class measurement and evaluation of communications programming across earned, paid, social, and influencer channels. The candidate should be able to work autonomously and proactively to devise and drive forward their own to do list. They should be goal-oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Key job responsibilities - Analyzing and improving existing international mechanisms, as well as creating new processes to that scale to help efficiently run a large and varied international team - Overseeing annual planning and goal setting processes from an operations POV - Working cross-functionally with multiple global stakeholders – including internal cross-comms partners, cross channel marketing team and business teams – in order to ensure central mechanisms are aligned and complementary - Working closely with retail business and marketing teams to streamline processes (including approvals), identify opportunities, and implement changes to business mechanisms to improve efficiency of resource management for in country teams - Reviewing and revising central monitoring, evaluation, and reporting mechanisms for all comms work to drive better standardization and increase efficiencies - Representing International Stores in global working groups to increase visibility of the teams’ work and, where relevant, identify global tools and processes that could be adopted in the countries we support - Overall management of key International Stores events, including monthly all-team calls, off-site summits, leadership meetings; working with multiple stakeholders to maximize the output of all sessions
