About the role
MacKillop’s Out of Home Care (OOHC) programs provide residential care, home based care, lead tenant and case management support for young people with high and complex needs, as well as a therapeutically oriented program for young people in protective placements.
The Case Management Coordinator within the Case Management team has responsibilities for leading and coordinating a team of Case Managers in the provision of high-quality services to residential clients based on a therapeutic and trauma informed model of care.
The Case Management Coordinator is responsible for leading, supervising and coordinating a team of case managers within residential houses along with overseeing the specific operational and administrative requirements of the OOHC North Metro Case Management team.
This position is situated within the Northern Metro OOHC Program, which is part of the OOHC Division. This position reports to the Area Manager, North Metro.
This is a Full-time opportunity based in Preston within our OOHC North Metro Program. The position reports to the North Metro Area Manager.
Key Selection Criteria:
* A bachelor’s degree in social work or equivalent, or significant work experience in a relevant field plus a qualification in Youth Work, Welfare or other related field.
* Demonstrated experience in child protection, child welfare practice or a related field.
* A knowledge of relevant Community Service Organisations, local and State Government (DHHS) and the ability to network with these services.
* Ability to participate collaboratively and constructively within teams of peers, staff and other stakeholders, as well as initiative and effective personal judgement when working alone.
