Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Nurse to join Riverside Neighbourhood Team in Worcester. The Neighbourhood Team consists of Community Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Healthcare Assistants, and admin staff with the wider multidisciplinary team. Main duties of the job A typical day as a community nurse may include a variety of skills such as the holistic management of diabetic patients, wound care, catheter care, IV administration and supporting patients at the end of their life. This is not an exhaustive skillset to the role and you will benefit from a diverse variety of skills and scenarios enhancing your career development. The Neighbourhood Team responds to urgent care response calls generated from a variety of referrals including West Midlands Ambulance Service. We also assess and provide care to patients to prevent hospital admission and support hospital discharges. The team will meet daily for handover to give the opportunity for support and supervision. You will be supported throughout your shift by your senior nursing team and colleagues. You will receive regular 1:1 clinical supervision with your line manager and meaningful annual appraisals. We also offer regular inhouse training to support your clinical development.
