If so, we have a great opportunity for you as a Capital Maintenance Delivery Manager. What you'll do We are looking for a ‘small schemes' Capital Maintenance Delivery Manager to lead and coordinate a multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver a programme of planned and reactive small capital maintenance projects in our north division. You will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with all the appropriate legislation and meeting all business objectives within target dates and authorised cost. Typical day-to-day activities in this role include supporting and inspiring a team of project engineers throughout all stages of delivery. This will involve regularly reviewing project finances, delivering programme updates to stakeholders, and ensuring appropriate technical reviews, audits and approvals are in place. The value of projects varies between around £15,000 and £250,000. You will be based in the north area covering Bristol, Bath, South Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. Projects can include planned pumping station upgrades, the design and installation of inlet screen replacements, emergency wastewater treatment side streams, and clean water treatment process upgrades. Your role will involve: managing a team of six engineers and technicians. the programme management of the team's projects. optioneering, contracts, tendering, spend forecasting, project delivery, commissioning, authoring payments and project closedowns. working closely with our contractors and supply chain. ensuring that all health and safety and other statutory regulations that may affect the construction process are adhered to. ensuring the delivery process accords with our policies. ensuring company and departmental targets are met. assisting in the establishment of budgets and approvals. What you'll need Ideally, you will be from a contractor or utility background with experience in project and people management and working closely with external contractors. You will need to demonstrate: strong health and safety management experience good communication skills at all levels of the business strategic thinking and effective decision-making the ability to influence at all levels of the business commercial awareness and NEC contract expertise relevant technical knowledge and experience experience of delivering projects and programmes of work people management skills In addition, you will need: a positive proactive attitude to be well-organised, customer-focused and a great team leader a minimum of a level 4 (HNC) qualification in an engineering discipline to be a professionally registered engineer (IEng/CEng) a valid driving licence (a company car will be provided if you are not able to use your own vehicle).
