Responsibilities:
Prepare a variety of curries, ensuring authentic taste and quality.
Select, measure, and mix ingredients following traditional and restaurant-specific recipes.
Handle the preparation and cooking of meats, vegetables, and sauces for curry dishes.
Adjust spice levels and flavours according to customer preferences.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness.
Manage stock levels and coordinate with the head chef to ensure fresh ingredients.
Work closely with the kitchen team and the head chef to plan menus and introduce new curry dishes.
Manage cooking times to ensure all meals meet high standards and are served promptly.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Curry Chef.
Strong knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and food presentation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
