We are seeking a passionate HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) to support our Year 6 pupils in achieving their age-related expectations in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. In addition to this crucial academic support role, you will also be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging PE lessons across Key Stage 2 during teachers' PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) time.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide targeted support for Year 6 pupils working towards achieving Age Related Expectations in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.
2. Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging, and challenging PE lessons across Key Stage 2.
3. Assist, organise, and lead extra-curricular sports activities to support the school's drive for increased participation and physical activity.
4. Cover classes to provide subject release time for teaching staff across the school.
Requirements:
1. Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
2. Excellent subject knowledge and ability to teach PE effectively across the primary age range.
3. Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
