We are seeking an experienced legal secretary to join our small but busy high street practice.
This is a part time vacancy initially and the candidate would work Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. 9AM-4PM (21 hours per week). There is however the potential for progression to full time.
The salary is negotiable depending upon experience.
Job Overview
The ideal candidate will be an experienced legal secretary with experience of conveyancing and probate work and be a fast and accurate audio typist. Primary responsibility will be audio typing and therefore the ideal candidate must be a quick typist. Other primary and responsibilities include dealing with incoming phone calls, handling clients at reception and also general filing of correspondence and documents.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive administrative support.
* Manage and organise files and documents
* Audio typing of legal documents and correspondence.
* Handle incoming calls and communications with professionalism.
* Ensure compliance with office procedures and maintain confidentiality at all times.
* Support the team in managing deadlines through effective time management.
Experience
* Previous experience as a Legal Secretary ideally from a conveyancing and probate background
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel.
* Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Must be a fast and accurate audio typist
* A solid understanding of IT systems relevant to office administration is beneficial.
* Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £13.19-£13.74 per hour
