Lead Test Equipment Engineer / Newcastle / £60 per hour

We are seeking experienced Lead Test Equipment Engineers to join our client at their new Newcastle office and established site in Edinburgh. You will play a crucial role in Radar, Advanced Targeting, and Surveillance teams, contributing to industry-leading projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the creation and delivery of technical solutions within defined work packages, ensuring all stakeholder requirements are met.
Identify and prioritise stakeholder needs, balancing interests and trading off requirements to develop optimal solutions.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of architecture with program elements.
Apply appropriate tools and techniques for test equipment design, providing expert advice.
Address emerging issues by proposing and implementing solutions, escalating complex risks, and supporting risk mitigation strategies.
Foster relationships and networks within and outside the business, promoting best practices.
Mentor, coach, and develop other engineers, enhancing their skills and knowledge.Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in driving technical solution development within multi-disciplinary teams.
Expertise in capturing and analysing stakeholder needs to guide solution development for future operational environments.
Comprehensive industry experience in the full design lifecycle.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and adapt to changing demands.
Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders, including managing relationships with customers and suppliers.
Commitment to maintaining engineering best practices, including leveraging external sources such as academia or other industries.
Demonstrated ability to coach and develop others.
Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive issues to resolution.Security Clearance
