Teaching Assistant SEMH Support Full-Time BS10 ASAP Start A Primary School in the North Bristol area is looking for a Teaching Assistant with experience working with children with SEND needs. You will be expected to support a Year 1 pupil who has SEMH needs. The Role This Teaching Assistant position is for a Full-Time 1:1 role working with a child in a year 1 class where you will be responsible for supporting this child who has various Social Emotional Mental Health needs. The Head Teacher is looking for a Teaching Assistant who can provide a positive and empathetic approach when supporting this individual. Someone who is patient and can use your own initiative to adapt activities. You will be expected to: Strong positive behaviour management strategies. Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher. Be flexible and encouraging when working with this pupil. Be adaptable with the child’s learning environment. Communicate and observe personal and learning development.
