We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Graduate Engineer to join our proactive Flood Risk & Drainage Team here at Wokingham Borough Council on a Full Time, Permanent Basis. As a Graduate Engineer, you will support the LLFA as it seeks to minimise the risk of flooding throughout the borough through effective, timely management of drainage for the Highways network and of maintenance of land drainage and Ordinary Watercourses. You will contribute to all aspects of the team’s work including: investigation and survey of existing drainage infrastructure; design of improvements to highway drainage; design of flood alleviation schemes; hydraulic modelling of drainage using Causeway FLOW both in support of design work and as a means of reviewing drainage strategies for proposed development as part of the council’s role as a statutory consultee. Candidates: BSc / BEng in Civil Eng (or equivalent relevant discipline). Drainage experience. Clean full driving license and ability to use own car for business.
