Teaching Assistant – Special Educational Needs

A specialist school in Woodchurch is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join their team, supporting students aged 11-19 with special educational needs. This is a full-time temporary role with the possibility of becoming permanent.
The school provides a high-quality education in a purpose-built environment, designed to engage, support, and challenge pupils, helping them to develop independence and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting students with special educational needs in both group and one-to-one settings.
* Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
* Assisting with the implementation of personalised learning plans.
* Building strong, trusting relationships with students to support their development.
* Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to meet individual needs.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is desirable.
* A nurturing and patient approach to supporting students.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A commitment to helping students develop their independence and confidence.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
