Our developers work in agile teams, to deliver prioritised work packages from the research stage through to deployment as live services. You'll be delivering and integrating software to form complete services as well as building and maintaining the service components to ensure they meet our needs. You will work closely with our research and design teams providing technical expertise. We will expect you to be proactive in identifying innovative ways of working as well as process optimisation opportunities and contributing to the implementation of proposed solutions.
Main Activities
1. Be the Centre of Excellence, providing support to colleagues for Power BI reporting across UKEF.
2. Create visualizations and reports for requested projects as well as BAU (business as usual).
3. Capture detailed end-user requirements translating into technical specifications and assessing for priority.
4. Actively contribute to the full life-cycle delivery of reports, dashboards, and data feeds.
5. Closely collaborate with team members and stakeholders on design to ensure reporting achieves desired results and are fit for purpose.
6. Develop a testing regime for all products, optimising each report ensuring performance is maintained to the highest level.
7. Develop and update technical documentation, whilst collaborating with business teams to integrate legacy systems and processes.
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
1. 5 GCSE passes (including Maths and English) at Grade 4 (C) or above; or equivalent or relevant demonstrable experience.
Knowledge
1. Intermediate experience of delivering Power BI developments using DAX and multiple, complex data sources.
2. Understanding of gateway usage.
3. A good level of knowledge of Power BI workspace and App structures within an organisation.
Skills/Ability
1. Provision of analytical solutions including highly effective dashboard solutions linked to real business needs.
2. Stakeholder engagement and management and the ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships.
3. Developing/supporting/training colleagues.
4. Handling variable data quality issues.
5. Problem solving and critical thinking.
6. Requirement gathering, analysis and definition.
7. Working in a specialist analytical/reporting role.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience
1. Experience of delivering Power BI dashboard/reporting.

1. Significant experience of data analytics and the production of business reports using data visualisation tools, preferably Microsoft Certified.

2. Understanding the purpose and structure of data warehouses and systems.
Skills/Ability
1. Analysis and reporting of Financial Services data.
