An opportunity to work in an expanding GP practice has arisen. We are looking for a reliable, conscientious, hardworking candidate to join our friendly/busy team.
Part time - 20 hours per week
Main duties of the job
Duties will include:
1. Dealing with telephone enquiries
2. Booking and amending patient appointments in line with practice procedures, ensuring optimum efficiency of the appointment system.
3. Electronically filing documents
4. Dealing with medication requests
5. Copying and recording medical notes

Job responsibilities
Medical Receptionist
To provide a high quality, professional reception and administrative service to patients, doctors, staff, colleagues, health service professionals and others. To act as the first point of contact for patients contacting the Practice and to portray the Practice in the highest possible professional basis. To ensure that enquiries from patients are efficiently and courteously handled to the mutual satisfaction of the partners and patients.
Person Specification
Knowledge and skills
* Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both in person and on the telephone.
* Friendly and confident.
* Have good organisational skills and be able to prioritise workload.
* Able to cope in a busy environment.
* Flexible and adaptable.
* Prior experience of working in a medical centre or as a receptionist.
