Job Summary: • Responsible for leading the overall value engineering process within CS&SC for major Capital projects across the group. • Value Engineering provides a systematic framework to ensure projects are aligned with business objectives and optimised from cost and schedule perspective. • The role is to define, align, implement and embed this new process within the Engineering & Technology team to identify savings, share best practice and track & report savings. What to Expect: • Lead overall value engineering sprint process initially for major projects above €10m • Develop the Value Engineering methodology for future implementation in PMS (Project Management System) as a mandatory step before Gate 3 approval • Organise, facilitate and lead workshops & analyses • Support idea generation with open ended questions and inquisitive approach • Challenge project team on requirements and current project design based on experience • Provide support to Facilitator in reviewing and developing workshop content • Create and maintain an asset database of typical project, asset and installation costs which can be used as a baseline for new projects. This should include alignment with procurement and technical services department. • Develop and manage Metrics tracker / dashboard / track benefits on a quarterly basis Key Stakeholders: • Internal: Customer Service & Supply Chain: Engineering & Technology, BU Operations, Logistics & QESH teams. Above Market functions (Network, QESH, BPT, Asset Care, OE). • Influence required with all these stakeholders will range from advising & recommending through to persuading & negotiating. • External: Equipment Manufacturers, consultants and technology partners Skills and Essentials: Experience preferred: • Minimum of 5 to 10 years as a Senior Engineer, Project Manager or Technical business leader with a proven track record of successful project delivery outcomes. • Process Optimisation/Continuous Improvement • Budget management • Experience analysing and handling large data to give operational insights • Ability to drive business outcomes across Supply Chain including areas such as Manufacturing and Logistics. • Ability to think both strategically and detailed. • Ability to influence and be an effective communicator and facilitator. • Effective questioning skills giving the capacity to engage project stakeholders and internal customers to gain a clear understanding of the project, priorities and actively remove ambiguity. • Previous engineering experience in Manufacturing, Logistics and or Construction. Qualifications required: • Engineering Degree OR Tertiary qualification in relevant technical discipline with a proven track record of engineering project delivery, in similar work environment. • Experience with high-speed packaging equipment and/or food/beverage processing technology, preferably in an FMCG environment. • Manufacturing, Logistics and Warehousing systems knowledge (e.g., SAP, WMS, APO, Lineview, Maximo, Microsoft suite) Functional technical skills required: • Stakeholder management • Change management • Data Analysis and Reporting • Visualization and clear story telling through data • Excel/PowerBI/ServiceNow Behavioural competencies preferred: • Communication • Coaching others • Teamwork • Collaboration • Relationship management • Influencing • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
