Job summary
This is an excellent & exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, flexible & highly motivated podiatrist in a progressive team with a key focus on providing podiatry services at a Band 6 level. You will be involved in the assessment & planning of individual patient care, working both independently & as part of a team; good diagnostic, communication & teamwork skills are essential.
The successful candidate will be involved in MSK clinics, diabetic foot protection clinics and in a variety of potential different settings & localities. There are opportunities to take part in nail surgery, MSK clinics, audit & service development initiatives. We also support patients & services through education talks.
You will work alongside experienced podiatrists & encouraged in your professional development. We are committed to CPD, promoting evidence-based practice & high standards of care. We offer an individual training fund, regular 1:1 clinical supervision meetings, peer review & in-house CPD to support staff development.
We expect that you will have excellent established clinical skills & experience of treating patients within a range of environments, especially those with high-risk clinical needs, with an emphasis on wound management. You will be responsible for the assessment, treatment planning & treatment of patients on a daily basis in line with our service's access criteria, with the aim of delivering excellent quality care to patients.

* To assess, diagnose, develop and implement treatment plans for patients with MSK lower limb and foot pathology.
* To manufacture orthoses.
* To manage a complex caseload of patients with moderate, high and active foot risk.
