About The Role:
Due to an extensive period of growth, here at Tayto Group Ltd, we are now looking to maximise the rewards of that growth and create some new, exciting opportunities! The first up for grabs; Area Engineering Manager!
As the newArea Engineering Manager, you will have full responsibility for your own area of the factory at our flagship site in Corby. This will consist of guiding and mentoring a team of shift engineers, taking full responsibility for budgeting and facilitate all capital investment projects within the business unit. Working in unison with the Business Unit Manager, your primary focus will be to deliver an engineering input to ensure operating excellence within the business unit.
On a typical day, you will:
* Provide strong leadership to the business unit engineering team, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
* Effectively develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes of the engineering team within the business unit, enabling them to provide an effective breakdown service as members of an integrated manufacturing team.
* Ensure that all operational maintenance, engineering and project related health and safety requirements are clearly communicated and diligently applied for your business unit
* Take responsibility of the business unit maintenance budget to ensure the control of expenditure within agreed limits.
* Continuously ensure the business unit adheres to the current Engineering Standards (PUWER, LOLA, IEE Standards)
What will we need from you?
* Experience managing an engineering team within a manufacturing environment (preferably food or FMCG)
* Demonstrable experience in leading and developing a team
* Apprentice trained or recognised engineering qualification
* Experience of managing maintenance budgets and working within a management role previously
This role will operate from Monday – Friday, core hours, but there may be times when you will be required to support the team outside of your normal working hours.
We’ll provide you with all the tools to learn, develop the role and yourself and will support with additional training needs where required.
