Senior Commercial Manager - Business Performance Glasgow Permanent THIS IS A HIGH PROFILE ROLE - VISIBILITY ON-SITE AT THE GLASGOW OFFICE IS ESSENTIAL TO DRIVE OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE. To ensure the organisation continues to grow at pace, the position of Group Business Lead has been created to proactively drive the Group’s performance and to determine business units are aligned and performing to plan. The Group is agile and entrepreneurial in nature; hence this role is a strong fit for a dynamic candidate, potentially from a fast-paced SME background. You will drive the effectiveness of the executive team by taking a macro view, coordinating strategic actions set by the Group CEO, whilst working closely with business unit Directors to understand and facilitate crucial business activities, enabling the synchronisation of strategic and performance-based priorities. You will oversee the project management of key initiatives and distil accountability with the executive team to deliver against objectives, ensuring the prompt communication of critical performance information. Accountabilities include: •Ensure actions from the Group CEO’s engagement with Senior Leadership Team are coordinated and delivered within agreed timescales, proactively managed and aligned to the strategic priorities of the Executive Team. •Project management of team specific initiatives, holding action owners accountable for delivery against agreed priorities and objectives. •Observing business performance and necessary traction on behalf of the Group CEO and connecting the dots with activities across the business, ensure necessary stakeholders are appraised on time-critical performance-based information. •Agree and build a set of timebound priorities and track progress in relation to the delivery of priorities, ensuring regular key meetings take place and trackers are kept up to date. •Provide high level support for executive and senior leadership meetings, including assigning, tracking and following up on key actions to track and drive performance. •Coordinate communications across teams including internal communications to the organisation. •Communicate highly complex and sensitive information across the Group. The successful candidate will strongly demonstrate: •Advanced knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights from P&L statements and managing financial performance. •Proven ability to align strategic and performance-based priorities within executive teams, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support business objectives. •Demonstrate expertise in managing and delivering on multiple, concurrent projects, with the gravitas to influence and hold stakeholders accountable, track progress against objectives and ensure timely completion of key priorities. •Proven track record in providing strategic support to senior executives or leadership teams, demonstrating an ability to manage complex schedules, coordinate critical initiatives and handle sensitive information with discretion.
